I grew up in Rochester, NY and I still have family in Upstate New York. I earned a Masters at R.I.T. with a major in Painting. I taught visual art for many years in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. I love nature and wildlife, especially that of Pennsylvania and New York State. I like to tell a story in my work, which makes it suitable for illustrating text. I also create commissioned animal portraits for pet owners.
