Rosanne Gauss has been illustrating for children since 2001, after working many years as an elementary art teacher, and doing freelance design work. Her degree is in graphic design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. "I love using line, blended color and whimsical characters to tell stories, and combining watercolors, inks and colored pencils in my illustrations right before that final digital touch." Noted clients include Vitology Press, Clariant Corp, Blooming Tree Press, Confetti Celebration Magazine and Pockets Magazine. Rose lives with her husband and they have three grown children. She is also Illustrator Coordinator for the Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators, Western Pennsylvania region.
