My name is Ashley Kenawell, I am an illustrator and interactive designer with a passion for education children's games. I love to bring strange-yet-lovable characters to life in my work. My interests are largely centered around children's content for new media; be it through games or interactive software, I aim to bring traditional illustration sensibilities to modern outlets. As an illustrator I work in many media forms, both traditional and digital, to bring my characters and style to life. Most recently my work includes tackling Unity content for interactive storybooks, technical illustrations for game design, and illustrative user interface designs. I take commissions for most interactive media illustration, and specialize in children's graphics such as game character and environmental designs, GUI design for interactive storybooks, and edutainment concept development.
My program knowledge includes Adobe Creative Cloud Software (mainly Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects and Animate CC), Maya, and Unity.
Apart from being cooped up in my office drawing, my other interests include hiking, playing the newest indie games on Steam, and spending time with my family. I live outside a bit outside of Pittsburgh in Aliquippa, and I like to explore Raccoon Creek State Park when weather permits.
