Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators

Ashley Belote

Quirky, creative, and determined…that’s me! I specialize in children’s art, illustration, graphic design, and mural work- my sporadic interests reflect my artistic mind set that has fueled my passion for creativity throughout my entire life. I earned a B.F.A focusing on visual art with a minor in creative writing from Alderson-Broaddus College and a Masters degree in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky. I continued my graduate study through the Simmons College satellite graduate program at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, Massachusetts and then studied 2 D animation under the direction of Don Bluth through the Don Bluth University program.
I have had the pleasure of illustrating multiple award winning children’s books that include twelve Mom’s Choice Awards, five Indie Book and an Indie Excellence Award, an International Book Award, a USA News Best Book Award, and two Creative Child Magazine Awards. I live my life as a creative journey and would have it no other way!
