For over two decades, I have used pen and ink to capture the architectural world around me.Drawing helps me understand my surroundings and feel grounded. I have been told that my linework has a breath, a childlike perspective—while I use the word wonky, I understand the perceived humanity in the lines I make. This is likely due to their wavering imperfections. I imagine these permanent, steadfast, and motionless structures having the will to speak and share their stories. I create to slow down, reflect, dream, appreciate, honor, listen, and connect with others with shared experiences of these places. As a native Pittsburgh artist, I am proud to be able to contribute my own visual language to this recorded historic tradition.
